Description

Ohhh yes.

Ingredients

  • 10 whole Chicken Wings, Rinsed And Pat Dry
  • 1 cup Celery, Carrots And Ranch For Dipping
  • FOR THE RUB:
  • 2 Tablespoons Coarse Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Tablespoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Onion Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Freshly Ground Pepper
  • FOR THE BUFFALO MARINADE/SAUCE:
  • 6 Tablespoons Butter, Divided
  • 1 cup Frank's Hot Pepper Sauce, Divided
  • 2 Tablespoons Bourbon, Divided
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne, Divided
  • 1 Tablespoon Coarse Salt, Divided
  • 1 Tablespoon Freshly Ground Pepper, Divided

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, combine the rub ingredients. Toss to mix.

Rinse the wings and pat them dry. Liberally rub with the dry spices and refrigerate at least 6 hours and up to overnight.

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

In a bowl, combine the Buffalo marinade ingredients and whisk until combined. Reserve half of the marinade and set aside.

Toss the chicken with half of the marinade and arrange on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 60 minutes, checking at the 50-minute mark.

Have the reserved half of the marinade/sauce in a separate bowl and brush wings once more before serving.

Serve wings with celery, carrots, ranch and bleu cheese dressing. Or rub all over your face like I did. What?

So good! These might be my new favorite buffalo wings EVER! They taste plenty buffalo-y, but with a really nice, complex flavor. We used this recipe on boneless skinless breasts instead of wings… just as delicious, but much less messy. I have a feeling this will be in our regular rotation from now on!
