Note: I usually make these as meatballs, hence the egg and breadcrumbs. I’ve used the egg and breadcrumbs with burgers and they turn out great. If you want a meatier burger though, leave ‘em out.
Let’s make burgers!
Combine the beef, cheese, bacon, salt and pepper, Worcestershire sauce, egg, and bread crumbs gently in a bowl. Form into 4 equal patties, making a little indentation in the middle of each burger so that it’ll cook evenly.
Preheat a grill or skillet to medium heat.
Grill the burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked to your desired doneness. I do these closer to medium-well, but that’s just because raw bacon doesn’t float my boat. Your call, though.
Serve these in hamburger buns with your favorite toppings and try to not die of happiness.
