These are a flavorful cornmeal-based taco shell. Totally makes a taco!
1. Combine flour, cornmeal, chili powder, and salt. Add egg and water (or milk). Whisk ingredients together till well combined.
2. Add a very small amount of oil into a nonstick pan. Heat pan on medium-high.
3. Pour about 1/4 cup of mixture into the hot frying pan. Tip pan around to make the round taco shape.
4. Heat taco in pan for about 30-45 seconds. You will notice the edges will begin to separate from the pan. Using your “flipper,” flip taco over.
5. Heat the other side for another 30 seconds. Done! Keep warm in oven while you make more.
Note: The first taco may be a bit oily as it is the first and absorbs the oil in the pan. It’s still tasty. The rest will work out beautifully.
