Description

This is one of those recipes that work great in either the crock pot or pressure cooker!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Beef, Venison Or Pork, Cubed
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 3 cups Canned Kidney Beans
  • 1-½ cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 cup Cooking Sherry
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste

Preparation

Brown meat cubes in olive oil in dutch oven. Add remaining ingredients, mix well, cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

We love the leftovers so much we usually double the recipe.

This also works well in a crock pot or pressure cooker. For the pressure cooker, cook for 20 minutes at 15 lbs. pressure, but cut the water to 1/2 cup.

For the crock pot, put it in at lunch on high and it’ll be ready for supper.

Serve with bread sticks or crackers and sliced apples or applesauce! This is a family favorite.

Cook time should be 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I apologize if you’re still waiting and it’s dinner time. Sigh! Life is hard. You’ll have time to play a rousing game of tag and then wash your hands, both sides, with soap.
