Description

I found this recipe and tweaked it to our liking. When I made this there were no leftovers! So quick from stovetop, to oven, and then your table!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Hamburger
  • 1 whole Onion, Small, Chopped
  • Garlic Powder, To Taste
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1 package Taco Seasoning Mix, 1 Ounce Packet
  • 1 can (10 Oz. Size) Cream Of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 can (14 Oz. Size) Diced Tomatoes With Green Chilies (Like Rotel), Do Not Drain
  • 1 bag Corn Chips (Fritos - 12 Ounces)
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese (cheddar Or A Mexican Blend)
  • Shredded Lettuce (optional)
  • Sour Cream (optional)

Preparation

Brown the hamburger and onion along with the garlic powder, salt and pepper until no longer pink. Drain well.

Mix in the taco seasoning, soup and tomatoes. Stir well, just until heated through. Do not boil.

Layer the corn chips in the bottom of a 13×9 pan. Put meat mixture on top of chips. Top with cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

*I served this topped with shredded lettuce and sour cream at the table.

I think my sons would eat anything with fritos and cheese. Will be trying this one soon.

This is very good. My little one is sensitive to spicy heat so next time I will add just diced tomatoes. Me? I love the green chilies. This one is a keeper.

This was very good! Even my husband, who doesn’t much care for tacos, really enjoyed it and went back for seconds. He and the kids really got a kick out of eating chips for dinner :)

YOW! This is yummy (and so flipping easy and quick)! SInce my family is not crazy about mushrooms I substituted cream of onion soup. I also used chili cheese fritos and it was fab! My 17 year old son is a very picky eater and he had two helpings. Thx!!

Very good. Even better the second day when the fritos are less crunchy.
