Description

This is a great recipe for pan coating and a lot cheaper than buying spray coating!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cooking Oil
  • 1 cup Shortening
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour

Preparation

Mixed well and place in air tight container. Keeps indefinitely in the refrigerator. Just paint on pans as necessary.

This is a great pan coating…I am a cake baker and won’t use anything but this! I used my KA to mix til smooth…make sure you mix it well before using. I don’t put mine in the fridge…just sits next to my Crisco.

Sounds like a good, cheap solution for pan coating, thanks! 1 question though, how do you mix it without it getting lumpy and gross? with a hand/stand mixer, shaking, using a pastry blender, stirring or something else I can’t think of?
