I made these tonight for a big group of friends. I was proposed to three times. On the spot. They are incredible. Thank you for sharing!!!

These are delicious and fairly easy! I baked the pie part and stored them the night before I made the cream cheese filling. They are flying out of my kitchen at record speed!
Will definitely be making these again soon.

I am speechless. These are SO good. They are easy to make, hard to mess up, and oh. so. delicious.
I’m considering ending my baking career because it will never get better than this. Really. Never ever.
Thank you so much. Thank you thank you thank you!

These are great! My batter was a bit thick but I persevered. They are like portable pumpkin rolls! I love them & will enjoy sharing them with friends and teachers.

Just finished making these, and oh MY, they are delicious! They are pretty rich, meaning I can’t eat all of them by myself (even though I want to!). Luckily, I have friends and family to share with. This is going in my permanent recipe file. Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely delicious! I made these for a group of my husband’s friends last night, and he said all the guys gave high praise. FYI: I used an ordinary table spoon (plus my fingers for occasional shaping help–shhh!) for the cookies, and it worked great! My cookies weren’t “professional” looking, but no one seemed to mind! Thank you, Deutsch Girl!

These were very, very easy to make. I didn’t cut squares of parchment paper though, I just used a sheet of parchment to cover the bottoms of my baking pans, came out just fine. I did use the swirl method and they all came out very uniform in size. They are as good as they look on this site, and they got rave reviews from my co-workers at lunch today. Definitely making these again and again and again!!!!!

So good! I used Betty Crocker cream cheese frosting because my frosting was too runny (probably my error)
I also just plopped them on the cookie sheet with a silpat liner and squashed them down before baking instead of the piping method. They had to cook 13-15 minutes because they were fatter, perfectly moist.

I made these today and they are yummy to say the least. The only thing I did differently was to add pumpkin pie spice to the cream cheese frosting instead of cinnamon. I also used my scoop to place them on the parchment paper instead of piping them. Thanks for sharing!

I made these and used That’s The Best Frosting I’ve Ever Had (also from this site) instead. It made them a little less sweet, and equally as awesome! Also, just in case anyone wants to substitute, I used about 3 1/2 – 4 tsp. of Pumpkin Pie Spice instead of the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves and it worked just as well. Yay for lazy baking.
Thanks for such a delicious recipe!!

I had spice whoopie pies at a little family-farm-owned store in New Hampshire once. I have been craving them ever since. I love pumpkin, too, and I’m certain these will scratch the itch! Can’t wait to make these! Thanks!

What can I do if I can’t get pumpkin in a can? I live in the Netherlands and I think its something alien here! I can get Pumpkins though… any ideas?

These are also awesome in mini form. I made circles in pencil on the back of the parchment and then piped on one big sheet and it worked fabulously. I easily fit from 25-30 on a cookie sheet and had a nice assembly line. Awesome for grown up holiday parties.

I made these this weekend and they were amazing! They were best when first made, but after being in the fridge for a day they have gotten more and more sticky. I was hoping to make these for a baby shower, but I would like to make them a day or two in advance. Any suggestions for decreasing the stickiness?

Really, really good! I made them a little smaller and they are an excellent little treat!
