Description

Here’s my recipe for delicious decaf Sweet Tea with Mint.

Ingredients

  • 3-½ quarts Water, Divided (may Need Up To 4 Quarts)
  • 4 bags Mint Tea (you Can Use Black Tea If You Prefer)
  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • 1 bunch (about 4-5 Sprigs) Mint Leaves, Whole On Stem
  • ¼ whole Lemon, Sliced With Peel Plus More For Garnish

Preparation

Bring 1 quart water to a boil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and add tea bags. Allow tea to steep for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Add mint leaves and lemon slices and allow to sit for 10 more minutes.

Remove tea bags, mint and lemon from the pot. Add 2 1/2 to 3 quarts water (depending on your taste and level of sweetness preferred) and stir to combine. Serve over ice with a quick twist of fresh lemon juice. Garnish with lemon slice or fresh mint leaves.

Enjoy!

This sounds good! I myself have made sweet tea for years and I recently started adding mint! I make a mint simple syrup and add it regular tea….but I will definatly have to try it with mint flavored tea!
