Description

This Spicy Thick Healthy Hot Chocolate is the perfect warm and comforting treat!

Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons Cocoa
  • 8  Squares Dark Chocolate, Roughly Chopped (sugar Free)
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Mixed Spice
  • ¾ teaspoons Vanilla Essence
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1-½ cup Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornflour (heaped), Dissolved In A Little Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey

Preparation

Place cocoa, dark chocolate, cinnamon, mixed spice and vanilla essence in a medium measuring jug. Set aside.

Place the milk and water in a small saucepan and heat (do not boil). When hot, pour about 1 cup of the milk and water over the ingredients in the measuring jug and stir until chocolate has melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in the cornflour slurry.

Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and bring to a gentle boil, whisking constantly. Allow to boil for 2 minutes. Stir in honey, give it a try and add more to taste if necessary.

Pour into mugs and enjoy.
