Description

Skinny Blackberry Margaritas.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Water
  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • ½ cups Tequila
  • 6 ounces, weight Blackberries
  • ⅓ cups Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
  • ⅓ cups Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice

Preparation

In a small sauce pan, heat water until boiling. Stir in the sugar until fully dissolved. Remove from heat, and let cool.

In a blender combine the simple syrup, tequila, blackberries, lime juice and orange juice. Blend until smooth.

Pour through a fine mesh strainer. Let sit in the fridge until ready to serve.

To line the rim of the glass, cut a lime into wedges. Rub with lime over the edge of the glass. Dip the rim in the sugar.

Serve over ice garnished with additional lime and blackberries, if desired.

I’m not sure how “light” these are (lots of carbs) but boy do they sound refreshing. Can’t wait to try!

Yikes. These are GOOD. I usually prefer whiskey, but these just looked too summery to pass up. The proportions were just right, the flavors bright, and the color was stunning. I can’t wait to make them again.
