Description

For those days when you don’t have your coffee pot or just don’t have time to wait for your fix, this mix is just the thing. And if you need an extra jolt to your regular cup but don’t have the time to find an espresso drink, just mix this into your brewed coffee. If you like flavored coffees, just choose a flavored chocolate mix or creamer.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Hot Chocolate Mix (flavored If Desired)
  • 1 cup Powdered Creamer (flavored If Desired)
  • ⅔ cups Instant Coffee Granules, Crushed

Preparation

Combine sugar, hot chocolate mix and creamer in a mixing bowl. Set aside.

Using a mortar and pestle, crush the instant coffee by placing a small amount of coffee in a mortar, then crush it with a pestle. Continue until you have 2/3 cup of the crushed coffee.

Add crushed coffee to mixing bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Stir to combine and transfer to a tight sealing container.

Use 2-3 tablespoons mixed with a cup of hot water per serving.

Wow! This is so simple, so tasty, and pretty to boot in a mason jar. I am going to make this for holiday gifts. Great idea. I made mine decaf, and no sugar. It is really good.
