Peppermint Hot Chocolate Mix

Description
This is one of my favorite treats during winter. I cannot afford to purchase a $4.00 cup from Starbucks so I came up with my own mix one day based on what we had in the pantry. My kids love this recipe and especially like helping to make it. We double it up and store it in an airtight container on the counter.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 cup Sugar
- ½ cups Mini Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
- ½ cups Crushed Candy Canes Or Other Peppermint Candies
Preparation
Add all ingredients to a medium bowl and stir to combine. To use, add 1/3 cup mix to 1 cup of hot milk and stir until chocolate and candy pieces dissolve.
Store any leftover mix in an airtight container.

Hmmmm, I wonder if I could just use this mix in my coffee. It could be my creamer and sweetener all in one! I’m going to give it a try.
