Description

You don’t always have to have wine in your sangria.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Cranberry Cocktail Or Pure Cranberry Juice
  • 2-½ cups Sparkling Grapefruit Juice
  • 1 whole Orange, Juiced
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 2 cups Freshly Brewed White Tea (you Can Use Flavored If You Want), Cooled
  • 1 whole Orange, Sliced
  • 1 whole Fuji Apple, Diced
  • 1 cup Red Grapes, Halved

Preparation

It’s very, very easy to make!

In a large pitcher combine all the juices and tea and stir. Slice the orange, apples, and grapes (if you choose) and add them into the sangria. If you feel the need to add sweeteners I suggest waiting until after it has had a chance for all of the flavors to meld. Then decide if it needs it. I did not use any sweeteners in mine. The fruit made it sweet enough for me. Do not add ice cubes because it will dilute the flavor.

Allow it to sit for 1 1/2 hours, at least (I suggest longer) and serve.

If you want to serve with ice, place the ice cubes in individual glasses and pour the sangria over the top.

Oh my word! Such a wonderfully refreshing alternative to the alcoholic version. And delicious any time of the day…I am drinking it for my breakfast right now. Hey, it has fruit in it!

I was not able to find sparkling grapefruit juice in my small town grocery store, so I substituted pineapple juice. Very tasty, but it really needs the sparkling grapefruit juice.

For those like myself, who may not know what that is or where to find it…I found it in the big city grocery store in the fruit juice isle. I bought the Izze brand, which comes in glass bottles, delicious!

Absolutely worth the effort…yum!
