Yay! Spring is here. Now we can beg summer to come. But why beg? Why not just make these slushy beauties?

Ingredients

  • FOR THE MANGO SMOOTHIE:
  • 16 ounces, weight Frozen Mangos
  • 1 whole Small, Frozen Banana
  • 3 Tablespoons Honey
  • 1-½ cup Orange Juice
  • FOR THE BLUEBERRY SMOOTHIE:
  • 16 ounces, weight Frozen Blueberries
  • 1 whole Small, Frozen Banana
  • 3 Tablespoons Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Barleygreen Powder (optional)
  • 1-½ cup Blueberry (or Apple) Juice

Preparation

For the mango smoothie: Blend all ingredients together very well; only turn blender up to the lowest speed you need to make this happen. Pour into the bottom half of glasses, leaving room for the blueberry smoothie.

For the blueberry smoothie: Blend all ingredients together very well; only turn blender up to the lowest speed you need to make this happen. Gently pour into top half of glasses over mango goodness.

Serve layered smoothies with a straw, a sprig of fresh mint and a few blueberries on top. Perfect for brunch or any occasion in which you would like to introduce summer early.

I absolutely loved these! My hubby did too, though he mentioned that they were very intense and he might like some ice in them to dilute the strong flavors. I agree, they were intense, but that’s what made me love them so much! :)
