Hot Spiced Cider and Hot Spiced Tea Mix

To make the mix:
Combine all the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well then place spiced mix in an airtight container until ready to use. The mix yields 4 cups and will fit into a quart canning jar, which also makes a pretty way to package the mix and give as a gift.

To make hot spiced apple cider:
Pour 1/2 gallon apple cider into a large Dutch oven or pot. Turn heat to medium and add 2/3 cup of the spiced mix then stir to dissolve. Continue heating cider until it is warm but not boiling. Serve while warm.

To make hot spiced tea:
Add 1 tablespoon of the dry mix to 1 cup of warm water. Stir to dissolve.
