Gin, Strawberry, Ginger and Basil

Description
A delicious spring party drink!
Ingredients
- 1 piece (about 1" Long) Fresh Ginger, Cut Into Rounds
- ½ ounces, fluid Simple Syrup
- 4 leaves Fresh Basil, Plus More For Garnish
- 2 Strawberries, Sliced, Plus More For Garnish
- 1 ounce, fluid Fresh Lime Juice
- 1-½ ounce, fluid Gin
- Ice
Preparation
Vigorously muddle 5-6 rounds of fresh ginger with the simple syrup in a mixing glass. Add the basil leaves and sliced strawberries and muddle again (this time only lightly bruising the basil, allowing the flavor to release). Add lime and gin and shake with ice. Strain into glass over ice. Garnish with strawberries and basil.
