Description

Fresh homemade old-fashioned quench-your-thirst lemonade!

Ingredients

  • 6 whole Lemons
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 6 cups Cold Water

Preparation

First, accumulate all of the needed lemons for your lemonade. (Try six out for starters.)

Juice the lemons. This should give you 1 cup of lemon juice. Remember you can get the most juice by firmly rolling the lemons between your hand and the counter. Then cut the lemons in half and juice.

In a gallon pitcher, combine 1 cup lemon juice, 1 cup sugar, and 6 cups cold water. Stir, and adjust water to taste.

Chill and serve over ice.

Enjoy!

To get more juice, stick the lemons in the microwave for about 5ish seconds. Works like a charm!

Solid recipe! Made with splenda as I am trying to reduce my sugars. Wouldn’t change anything.

Simple and tasty! I use 8 lemons, 6 1/2 c water, and 1 cup sugar. Works out great for those of us that like a sour refreshment!

I shouldn’t be surprised that this really is as good as everyone else said. It was perfectly tart and sweet. A definate keeper in my house!

Tastes like Hot Dog On a Stick’s lemonade! My favorite!

Excellent! Very refreshing. To compensate for it being a little bit sweeter than I prefer, I thinly sliced half a lemon and added that to the pitcher. It balanced the sweet and tart perfectly!
