Drain your maraschino cherries add them into a clean jar. Reserve the cherry syrup for another use.
Pour bourbon over the cherries until they covered. We want to keep the cherries below the surface; nothing should be exposed above the liquid.
Seal the jar, let it sit undisturbed for at least 4-7 days at room temperature.
Keep the berries submerged in the bourbon until ready to use. Use your boozy berries to garnish drinks, desserts, etc. The remaining cherry-infused bourbon is great on the rocks.
A 16 ounce jar of cherries usually contains about 25 cherries. Therefore, this will yield a solid six 4 count servings of cherries, and six 1 ounce servings of bourbon.
