Description

Inspired by the popular drink at Starbucks, this combination of apple and caramel is sure to help you warm up on a cold day!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CINNAMON SIMPLE SYRUP:
  • 1 cup Water
  • ¾ cups Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • FOR THE SPICED WHIPPED CREAM:
  • 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • ¾ cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
  • FOR THE CARAMEL APPLE CIDER:
  • 10 ounces, fluid Apple Cider
  • 2 Tablespoons Cinnamon Simple Syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons Spiced Whipped Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Your Favorite Caramel Sauce

Preparation

For the cinnamon simple syrup:

In a small pot over medium-high heat, bring water and sugar to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 8 minutes. Add the cinnamon and simmer for another 2 minutes. Remove pot from the heat and allow the syrup to cool then transfer it to a squeeze bottle. Store in the refrigerator.

For the spiced whipped cream:

Whip all of the spiced whipped cream ingredients together in a medium-sized bowl using a stand mixer or electric hand mixer. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator. This should stay good for about a week, and will do wonders for your morning coffee.

For the caramel apple cider:

If you’re making just one cup, it’s easiest to microwave the cider and the cinnamon syrup together in a mug. Just microwave for 1-2 minutes until it reaches your desired temperature. To make enough for a fall party, simply multiply the cider ingredients by how many people you are hosting. Top each drink with a dollop of spiced whipped cream and drizzle with your favorite caramel sauce.
