Description

Here’s something a little different to make with that ripe cantaloupe. How about a martini! Mix cantaloupe puree with vodka, Cointreau, lime juice and a pinch of salt in a cocktail shaker (shaken not stirred!) for a real summertime treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cantaloupe Puree (from 1/2 Ripe Cantaloupe, Scooped Out And Seeds Removed)
  • 3 ounces, fluid Good Vodka
  • 1-½ ounce, fluid Cointreau (or Just 1 Ounce If You Like A Lighter Cointreau Flavor)
  • Generous Squeeze Of Fresh Lime Juice
  • Salt
  • Ice
  • Fresh Lime Slices For Garnish

Preparation

Puree the cantaloupe in a blender until smooth. Be sure that there are no chunks of cantaloupe left. Fill a cocktail shaker about halfway with ice. Mix the cantaloupe puree, vodka, Cointreau, lime juice and salt together in the cocktail shaker. Shake well. Pour into chilled martini glasses. Garnish with lime slices.

Make another round!

I think I am in love… looks amazing, so summery and fresh. Yummy !!! Do you think this will go as granita easily too? If I just added a couple of ice cubes into the blender or show I just not mess with the perfection?
