Description

A cool refreshing adult drink for hot summer days. This is an easy cocktail to keep on hand when company drops by. All my lady friends love it!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 5 whole Tea Bags
  • 1 can (12 Oz.) Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate
  • 1 can (12 Oz.) Frozen Lemonade Concentrate
  • 2 cups Brandy
  • 7-up Or Sprite, To Serve

Preparation

Boil 7 cups water with 2 cups sugar, until dissolved. Set aside and cool.

Boil 2 cups water with the 5 tea bags for one minute. Set aside and cool.

In a large freezer container (1-gallon size), mix the sugar water and tea with the orange juice and lemonade until well combined. Add 2 cups brandy, and freeze mixture. It won’t freeze completely solid, because of the alcohol.

To serve, scoop the brandy mixture out of container to fill tall tea glasses 1/2 full, and top off with 7-up or Sprite. Serve with a twist of lime or lemon.

My parents used to drink something very similar to this at parties. Except it was called Whiskey Slush.
Just tried it last summer, Delicious, when you’re on a boat!

This is an awesome drink, I always use the apricot or peach brandy.

For those of you who are bourbon drinkers, you can substitute for the brandy!

This sounds great and reminds me of something a friend of mine makes with tequila. I will have to give this one a try!
