Description

The Brandy Alexander is a luxurious dessert drink (drinkers sometimes refer to it as a “milkshake” because the alcohol taste is so light), creamy cocktail that has been popular throughout the 20th century.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce, fluid Brandy
  • 1 ounce, fluid Dark Crème De Cacao
  • 1 ounce, fluid Fresh Cream (half-and-half)
  • Nutmeg (for Garnish)

Preparation

Pour the brandy, creme de cacao and cream into a mixing glass with cracked ice. Shake and pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg on top.

Bartender’s notes to jazz it up:
Leave out the cream and ice, and instead blend the alcohol with vanilla ice cream. Oh yeah.
Serve it over crushed ice to make it a frappe.
Add fruit! Serve with strawberries or any other kind of berry. You can also try out oranges and peaches. If you really want to get exotic go for any fruit dipped in chocolate, take a bite and sip the drink—the flavor combinations in your mouth are just heavenly.
