Description

Delicious Blackberry Margarita: hello summertime!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE BLACKBERRY SYRUP:
  • 1 cup Fresh Blackberries (fresh Preferred, But May Sub Frozen)
  • ¾ cups Simple Pure Cane Syrup
  • _____
  • FOR THE BLACKBERRY MARGARITA:
  • 2-½ ounces, fluid Tequila
  • 2 ounces, fluid Blackberry Syrup (see Above Recipe)
  • 1 ounce, fluid Triple Sec
  • 1 ounce, fluid Lime Juice
  • ½ ounces, fluid Simple Pure Cane Syrup
  • Additional Fresh Blackberries And Lime Wedges, For Garnish (optional)

Preparation

For the Blackberry Syrup: Combine blackberries and 3/4 cup simple syrup in a blender or small food processor and puree until smooth. Pour into a fine mesh strainer over a container and push through the strainer using a spatula to separate the seeds and skins from the syrup. Store the syrup in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Blackberry Margarita: Combine tequila, blackberry syrup, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Fill glass with ice and pour in cocktail. Garnish with blackberries and fresh lime wedges.

These were delicious! Once home from the grocery and liquor stores I realized I didn’t have any Triple Sec but they were excellent without it! I’m definitely going to make these a regular margarita at my house :)
