This snack couldn’t be easier! It has peanut butter, honey, peanuts, chocolate and the whole grain goodness of Cheerios cereal.
In a small sauce pan, bring the honey and sugar to a boil over medium heat. As soon as the sugar is dissolved, remove from heat. Stir in the peanut butter until well blended.
In a separate bowl, combine Cheerios, peanuts and chocolate chips. Pour the peanut butter and honey mixture over the cereal mixture. Stir until well coated.
Spread into a buttered 9×9 pan. Let cool, cut into squares and enjoy!

Loved it. I am not a peanut butter fan…but sunflower seed butter and sunflowers in place of the peanuts were an excellent alternative. Thanks for the healthy kinda recipe.

Oh, so very good. And surprisingly man-pleasing! I made a batch and took some to work, and spent the rest of the day sending my male coworkers links to this recipe.
Also, I had to blog about it: http://skwishface.wordpress.com/2009/09/28/cooking-on-the-cheap-yummy-cheerios-bars/
Thanks for this faboo recipe!
