Description

A salty-sweet, chocolaty-nutty, crunchy snack mix that’s simply addictive.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Oat Circle Cereal
  • 3 cups Rice Chex
  • 3 cups Corn Chex
  • 1 package (12.6 Oz. Bag) Chocolate M&Ms
  • 1 package (12.6 Oz. Bag) Peanut Butter M&Ms
  • ⅔ bags (16 Oz. Bag) Mini-pretzel Twists
  • 1 can (16 Oz. Can) Cocktail Peanuts
  • 2 bags (12 Oz. Bag) White Chocolate Chips
  • 2 Tablespoons Shortening (NOT Oil)

Preparation

Prepare 3 baking pans for receiving the mix while it sets up. Cover baking sheets with foil to make clean up much easier.

Combine all dry ingredients in a very large mixing bowl. Pour white chocolate chips into a 2-cup microwavable measuring cup and add shortening. Microwave chocolate pieces for 1 minute then stir. Microwave in 10- to 15-second increments until chocolate is well-melted and smooth. Pour over dry ingredients and toss well to coat. Divide mixture evenly between the 3 prepared pans, and allow to cool. Break into pieces to serve. May be kept in an airtight container for short periods of time, if it lasts that long.

I make this, just like this, every year to share at work. It’s easy, it’s quick, and it goes!

My kids (as well as co-workers) went nuts over this combination. And my son in college has already insisted that I make more for him to take back to school. It’s a winner!
