Description

Dip some fresh strawberries in white chocolate and colored sugar for an easy holiday treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Fresh Strawberries, Washed And Dried
  • 14 ounces, weight White Chocolate
  • 1 cup Blue Sanding Sugar (found At Craft Stores And Target)

Preparation

Line a cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper, and set aside.

Pour the sugar into a small bowl, and set aside.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate in 30 second increments, stirring after every 30 seconds, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Take each strawberry, and dip it in the white chocolate, so that the chocolate covers all but the top third of the strawberry. Quickly sprinkle the bottom third of the berry with the blue sugar. Set the dipped strawberry on the lined cookie sheet.

Repeat with the other strawberries.

Refrigerate the dipped strawberries for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Enjoy, and Happy 4th of July!

Makes as many dipped strawberries as you want!

I made these for a party at work for a gal whose birthday was on the 4th of July.I put them on top of cupcakes with white frosting. Everyone loved them. I had no trouble sprinkling the blue sugar on as I just held them over a plate and shook the sugar on them. Beautiful strawberries. Thanks!

I tried these last night to bring to work and everything was so easy! Really had fun. Only complaint is that the white chocolate would sometimes drip into the sprinkles or jimmies (I had both) no matter how much a twirled the strawberry to evenly coat it and to get all the drippings off. So that resulted in my next strawberry having a hunk of white chocolate in the middle of its sprinkles ;( My fault though, I’m sure there’s a technique to it My coworkers flipped when they saw them, soo cute!
