Description

A great snack for baby on a warm day, also great for teething! Preservative-free and no sugar added!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Watermelon
  • ½ cups Baby Apple Or Pear Juice

Preparation

Prepare the watermelon by pushing it through a sieve to remove all seeds and large pieces of pulp.

Combine watermelon and juice, then place in a freezer bag and lay flat to freeze. Break off into desired pieces and serve. We use the NUBY Nibbler (the net thingy) to put put pieces into for the baby to teethe on; there is a picture of this handy baby gadget on my blog if you don’t have one!

Thank you for the information! We tried just a bit, then a bit more, as with most new things I introduced it to her slowly…..probably should have mentioned that in the recipe! Thanks again! I LOVE feedback…;-) On my blog there is another recipe for a Berry Freeze if you are nervous about the melon. Have a great day!

This is a great idea! I’ve heard that melons, such as watermelons, are well known to cause rashes in some babies so it is advised to wait until the age of 8 to 10 months to introduce to a baby.
