Description

A cool, refreshing dessert great for picnics or potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Hostess Twinkies (10 Count Box)
  • 4 whole Bananas, Sliced
  • 20 ounces, weight Can Crushed Pineapple, Drained
  • 1 box Vanilla Instant Pudding (3 Ounce Box - Mixed With Milk According To Package Directions)
  • 8 ounces, weight Cool Whip
  • Maraschino Cherries And Nuts For Garnish

Preparation

Remove Twinkie cakes from wrappers (you will use 9 of the 10 Twinkies). Cut each in half lengthwise from top to bottom. Place Twinkie halves in 9 x 13 baking dish with cream side facing up. Layer sliced bananas, pineapple, pudding, and Cool Whip over Twinkies in that order. Sprinkle with cherries (drained well on paper towels) and chopped nuts. Keep refrigerated.

You could spend all day in the kitchen baking a fancy cake from scratch. Or you could make this. It’s like all my favorite junk food turned into lasagna.
