Simple, chocolatey, and delicious!
Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Then add sugar, salt, cocoa, milk and vanilla. Increase heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, boiling for 1 minute. Then remove from heat.
Stir into a heatproof mixing bowl with the oats (and coconut and pecans if desired.) Mix thoroughly; drop by teaspoon onto wax paper.
Let cool completely prior to packaging.

Is it possible to tweak such recipes, to make it more natural?
Can I reduce the sugar down to 50% or 30%? I like things less sweet.
Can I replace white with brown sugar? Or will any of these two totally screw up the consistency?
