Description

So easy, so moist, and it will satisfy those chocolate cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (5 Oz. Package) Chocolate Cook And Serve Pudding Mix
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter, Softened
  • 1 package (18.25 Oz. Package) Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 12 ounces, weight Chocolate Chips
  • ¾ cups Pecans Or Walnuts, Roughly Chopped (optional)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Combine pudding mix and milk in a saucepan and cook over medium high heat just until the mixture comes to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in the softened butter.

Add the dry cake mix and use a wooden spoon or wire whisk to blend until all dry ingredients are incorporated (the batter will have a few small lumps). Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over top.

Bake for 25–30 minutes.

The recipe I use has no butter and a cup less milk in it…I totally agree with you-the cake is delicious and takes care of a chocolate craving VERY nicely! :)

Wow. I’ve never seen a snack cake prepared like this one (with a cooked pudding base). It looks fantastic, and it’s on my “to do” list now. Thanks, Twinks!
