Description

A decadent cookie that surely complements your coffee, espresso or cappuccino.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jif Mocha Cappuccino Flavored Hazelnut Spread
  • ½ cups Crisco (vegetable Shortening)
  • 1-¼ cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1-¾ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Hershey's Cocoa Powder
  • ¾ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ cups Quaker Quick Oats
  • ¾ cups White Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cups Mini Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer combine the Mocha Cappuccino spread, shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla. Beat at medium speed using an electric or stand mixer until well blended. Then add egg and blend again. Set aside.

In a separate bowl blend together the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add this dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix on low speed.
Slowly add the oats and chocolate chips until all is well blended.

Using a medium cookie scoop, drop the balls of dough onto a greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 8 minutes. Then remove the cookie sheet from the oven and let cookies cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes before removing them and placing them on a cooling rack.

Just made these. I think you could also replace the Jif Chocolate Mocha Spread with Nutella. If I make these again, I may try that!
