Rich brown sugar shortbread.
Cream butter and brown sugar. Add flour. When combined, add chocolate chips and nuts.
Press mixture into a 10×15 sheet pan (jelly roll pan). Bake at 350ºF for 25 minutes.
When still hot from the oven cut into squares. I use a pizza cutter. I usually cut them into 5 lengthwise and 6 or 7 widthwise.
Let cool. When cool, they will be very crisp. Our family always wants crisp.
I have been making these for over 50 years. No complaints yet!
