Awesome cookie recipe! Whoever came up with the idea of adding pudding mix was a genius!

These are the most amazing cookies ever! I just took 6 dozen down to the cafeteria for an MS fundraiser, in fact! Last night, my husband said these were the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever made. Don’t tell his mom.

I have never taken the time to review something unitl now. These were the best choc cookies I have ever made. I may never buy cookie dough again after making these.

Definitely a 5 mitt recipe! I have found my favorite chocolate chip cookie receipe.
Perfect combo of crispy right on the edges with softness in the middle. When baking they really hold the shape that you dropped them in, finally puffing up towards the end, then flattening out a wee bit more as they cool. I could taste the pudding mix in the raw dough but not after baked. Wonder how chocolate pudding mix would work?

All I can say is YUM! I used 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of M&Ms. VERY rich, but also very delicious.

Made these over the weekend for the grandkids – loved ‘em! I used the small pkg of pudding mix – agree with thystle – they hold up beautifully in the oven and just barely get crispy around the edges and stay moist and soft. Lovely!

I hardly ever write reviews, but I must say that these cookies are probably the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever made! This was the first time I have produced fluffy and soft cookies, with those perfect cripsy edges. I mixed 1/2 package chocolate chips with 1/2 package white chocolate chips, and the result was divine. Thanks for such a wonderful recipe! It won’t be leaving my arsenal.

Thank you so very much!! This is the 4th chocolate chip cookie recipe I’ve made trying to please my 14 year old boy’s craving for soft, moist cookies! (I know, sounds crazy to have a picky 14 y.o. boy!!) He actually wanted them flat, so I pressed them! He loves them!!! This is the best ever!

These were WONDERFUL!! I took them on a family picnic, and they were gobbled up in minutes. they were a HUGE hit. Like the others said, they didn’t look cooked in the 8 min. But I took them out, and let them sit on the cookie sheet for two minutes, then moved to cooling rack. They were so soft, and had a wonderful texture. YUMMY!

This is an awesome recipe! I make these for all the special occasions and they get devoured! For myself, I like to actually use chocolate pudding and white chocolate chips. Yummy!

Delicious, easy to make cookie! Came out super soft, just the way I like them. The high schoolers I work with devoured the batch in less than five minutes! Can’t wait to make them again.

I made these last week and I love them! They remind me of a recipe my husband’s grandma used to make, only they taste even better! I froze all but the first dozen in balls, and now we’ve had fresh cookies several times over the last week. Thanks for the great recipe!

By far the best chocolate chip cookie I have had! I was a little worried because the dough was a little dry, but they turned out perfect. Will definately make again and again. Thanks for submitting.

I have a problem with what I call pancake cookies too… but I live at altitude (approx 5000 ft.) so I want to blame it on that. I usually have to add a bit more flour than a recipe calls for and that usually cures the problem… Using pudding is such a cool trick… I bet they are chewy and moist too.

Thank you so much for this recipe Amy. I made them and they were fantastic. They tasted wonderful, they were soft and delectable but didn’t fall apart, and they were so pretty! I just rolled them into balls and cooked them on a silpat and when they came out of the oven, they were softly mounded and had poufed up.
This is my new favourite chocolate chip cookie recipe. I have already written it out on a little index card and tucked it away in my recipe box. I know I will make it again and again.

Just made this cookies (they are still hot out of the oven) and they are great! I used mini chips and no nuts because thats what I had. I will be making this again! Thanks!

I’ve made these before but the vanilla in the pudding makes the cookies extremely vanilla tasting since you also add vanilla extract.. has anyone tried to just leave that out?
midnightbaker on 9.13.2009
What size box of vanilla pudding? I have 5.1oz – is that too big?
