A 4-ingredient apple cake that tastes delicious: you can’t beat that!
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Butter and flour a cake pan.
2. Peel, core and cube the apples. Add the lemon juice if you’re using it.
3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar with a hand mixer for 2 minutes. Fold in the flour with a spatula, stir until the batter is smooth. Add apples.
4. Pour batter in cake pan, cook for 5 minutes at 400°F, then lower oven to 360°F and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and an inserted toothpick comes out almost clean. Serve warm or at room temperature.
