These sugar cookies are literally the best sugar cookies you will ever put in your mouth. They have both white sugar and brown sugar in them, giving them a slightly crispy outer edge and a perfectly chewy center.
They rock. You should make them.
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Cream butter and sugars together. Add egg, egg white, and vanilla. Dump in flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Stir until combinded. Scoop out golfball-sized balls using a spoon or cookie scoop. Plop each ball in a bowl of sanding sugar and smash with your hand lightly. Repeat until dough is gone and put your cookies on a greased or lined cookie sheet. Bake at 350ºF for 13-15 minutes.

You are right! I made these yesterday and my family went NUTS for them. I gave some away to friends and THEY all loved them. I had to come back and tell you, and thank you for sharing the recipe!
