Halloween Chocolate Bark is a super easy way to use up all that extra Halloween candy … and it involves even more chocolate.

Instead of making banana bread, use your overripe bananas to make these Banana Chocolate Truffles.

Funfetti-covered white chocolate with a soft cake batter centre. These really taste like cake batter!
Nancy is the Coupon Clipping Cook, which means she not only has an astounding number of recipes to share with us (her TK recipe box is busting at the seams!) but she's also got loads of money-saving tips in her blog (she worked at a grocery store for a number of years, so she knows her stuff). She has some pretty amazing creations, like Roasted Garlic Potato Soup and Nutty Coconut Chicken. Go check them out!

In her blog, she shares her photographs, random musings (serious and silly alike), and all kinds of scrumptious recipes---and not just evil variations of her favorite mac and cheese. Her enviable TK recipe box is a testament to that. Go see for yourself!

sarahnew- Thanks for the link. My mom has been making these little mice for the holidays for about ten years now. She makes hers without eyes, and we always laugh and call them zombie mice. I like the eyes and nose better- it gives them a bit more character. My son just took a giant platter of mice to school today for his Xmas party. Kids gobble them up!

What is the wax for?

So cute! I am making these soon! Shornrapunzel – the wax gives shine and prevents your final product from melting from what I understand…

Oh, yours are so much cuter with the little eyes and nose! Thank you for sharing, this is just the simple little treat that I like to do with the children in my life!
Happy Christmas!

I totally forgot about these! I remember getting them at Christmas parties in elementary school! My 3 year old little boy would LOVE to make these.

I haven’t tried this, but it seems that you could just use chocolate almond bark to coat the cherries. It’s easy to find and use, and you can melt it in the microwave–just be sure to use the defrost setting and follow the directions on the package. This is what I use to coat my Bakerella-style cake balls and it works like a champ. OR you might use those little candy melt wafers–then you could do them in different colors! Red and green Christmas mice, anyone?

I just wanted to say that I use paraffin because it gives the chocolate such a nice shine. It also seems easier to reheat if there is leftover chocolate. It’s kind of old fashioned but it works for me:)

I made these yesterday to give out on my Christmas
goodie platters that I give away. They are so cute.
I did taste one however and they are not very good to eat. Too waxy, yet I followed the instructions.
They are fun to make but messy.
