Description

Soft and chewy, these are good for any holiday.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Real Butter, Softened
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Flavoring (lemon, Almond, Vanilla Extract)
  • 1 cup Sugar

Preparation

Mix flour, soda, and baking powder together. Cut in butter.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Add flavoring and sugar to the eggs. Mix well.

Add egg/sugar mix to flour mixture. Mix well. Chill dough for 1 hour.

Roll out on a floured surface to about ¼ to 1/8 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake 6-8 minutes at 375F. Cool immediately on wire racks.

I made the cookies today and they are so easy. I made the dough last night, then cut them out this morning.

The cookies are so easy to make, but the best is how good they are. I made them for my nephew’s children- what they couldn’t eat they took home.
