Description

Old school southern desert, kind of reminds me of strawberry cheese cake. I doubled this for homecoming at church one year and it was still the first thing to go.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • 3 cups Graham Cracker Crumbs (can Buy Box Of Crumbs On Baking Aisle)
  • ¾ sticks Butter, Melted
  • 2 envelopes (1.3 Oz. Size) Dream Whip
  • ½ cups Milk, Or As Directed On Dream Whip Packet
  • ½ teaspoons Vanilla, Or As Directed On Dream Whip Packet
  • 8 ounces, weight Package Of Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 2 cans (12 Oz. Size) Strawberry Pie Filling

Preparation

Mix sugar and graham cracker crumbs. Pour melted butter over crumbs and mix to combine and set aside.

Mix Dream Whip, milk and vanilla according to packet directions. Mix cream cheese with a mixer until smooth. Fold in Dream Whip a little at a time and mix until light and fluffy.

Layer half of the crumb mixture in bottom of an 8×12 dish. Top with half of the cream cheese mixture. Top with one can of pie filling.

Repeat in same order but reserve some of the crumbs and sprinkle on top of the last layer.

Cover and refrigerate overnight.

This is an excellent recipe! I’ve made this for years, but have always used cherry pie filling.
