Description

We ran out of popsicles and I got creative, these were a hit! Jello, yogurt, and strawberries were what I had so that’s what I used.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Boiling Water
  • 1 package Lime Jello Mix, 3 Ounce Box
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 cup Cold Water
  • 1 container Strawberry Yogurt, 6 Oz
  • 3 whole Strawberries
  • 12 cups Plastic Cups
  • 12 whole Popsicle (sticks)

Preparation

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil, remove from heat and add Jello mix package and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Add cold water and yogurt and whisk until no longer lumpy.

Puree the strawberries in a blender or food processor and add them to the mixture. Stir to combine, then pour the mixture into your plastic cups* and let set. After they start to set up, stick a popsicle stick in (again, we had to get creative and used plastic spoons). Then place in the freezer.

* We used the little Solo cups that we use to rinse after we brush our teeth so this made 12, but if you want them bigger you could do 6 bigger cups, although you will probably have to give them longer to freeze.

It took about 2-3 hours to freeze and they were great. I really think you can use any flavor Jello, fruit, and/or yogurt you want and they will end up great.
