Description

What is better than strawberries, chocolate and cream cheese? Cook time refers to chill time.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces, weight Squares Of Good Quality Semi Sweet Chocolate, Divided
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 whole Pie Crust, Baked As Directed
  • 2 blocks 3 Ounce Cream Cheese Softened ( Total Of 6 Ounces)
  • ½ cups Sour Cream
  • 3 Tablespoons Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Vanilla
  • 4 cups Fresh Strawberries, Hulled
  • ½ cups Strawberry Jam, Melted

Preparation

Melt 2 ounces of chocolate and butter over low heat in small sauce pan, stirring constantly.

Brush this over the bottom and up the sides of the pie crust.

Chill until chocolate is set.

In bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla, until smooth. Spread over the chocolate layer.

Chill 1 – 2 hours.

Arrange hulled berries, point side up, over entire pie. Get as artistic as you want with this step !

Melt strawberry jam and brush over the top of the pie and strawberries.

Melt last piece of chocolate and drizzle all over the pie.

Chill, and enjoy !

This was a very good pie…and turned out very pretty! The only thing I would change is that I would want the sour cream/cream cheese layer to be a bit more set, like a cheesecake.

This sounds so good…I WILL be trying it soon!!
(Probably wouldn’t hurt to plop a little whipped cream on top!)
