Description

The balsamic vinegar really brings out the strawberry flavor and adds a unique taste. When combined with the angel food cake and whipped topping, it’s delicious!

Ingredients

  • 4 pints Fresh Strawberries
  • ¼ cups Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 whole Homemade Or Store Bought Angel Food Cake
  • 1 container (8 Oz. Size) Cool Whip

Preparation

Wash and slice the strawberries. Put the sliced strawberries in a bowl and stir in the balsamic vinegar. Cover and put in the refrigerator for a couple hours (less or more time works well too).

Break up 1/3 to 1/2 of the angel food cake into approximately 1- to 2-inch pieces and layer the pieces in the bottom of your serving dish (you may not use all of the angel food cake for this recipe).

Next, layer in some strawberries, then some Cool Whip.

Then add another layer of the angel food cake pieces and then the strawberries.

Before serving, add the final layer of Cool Whip.
