Spiced Apple Oatmeal Squares

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 x 13 inch pan with cooking spray.

Combine cake mix, eggs and butter in a large bowl. Beat at low speed with an electric mixer until blended. Spread evenly in pan. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.

While this is baking, combine oats and brown sugar in a small bowl. Mix until crumbly. Set aside.

Remove cake from oven and pour applesauce over the top of the baked layer. Spread evenly to form a thin layer. Sprinkle oats and brown sugar mixture over applesauce.

Return to oven and bake at 350°F for 10 more minutes or until lightly browned (oats will not brown much at all). Cool and cut into 3-inch squares to serve.
