OMG, OMG, OMG!!! This is the bomb banana pudding. I made extra pudding and added a little banana extract/ My family and friends devoured this on Thanksgiving Day. Thanks for the bestest pudding ever.

OMG!!!! My family dang near licked the bowl this was soooo good. I will definitely be making this on more than special occasions. I’m from Missouri and I don’t care what you call this. We call it delicious!!

Having grown up with the last name of Wafer — my niece designed a family crest in Nabisco colors with the motto “It’s just not pudding without us” — I feel qualified to say that real Southern banana pudding is the way your grandmother made it. And since most of us had two grandmothers, there is room for more than one recipe! I enjoyed this one, Kelly, and it tastes perfectly Southern to me. And I used neither meringue nor whipped cream, because despite the name, I’m not thin and flat, just round.

This was the first time that I’ve tried making banana pudding from scratch and it definitely won’t be my last. Especially after following this recipe! It turned out perfectly. The custard is super easy to make and very tasty. The ratio of ingredients was spot on. Dishing it up was picture perfect as well. Thanks for sharing a fantastic recipe!
