Soft White Sugar Cookies

Description
Delicious, soft, and not too sweet—perfect for decorating.
Ingredients
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 cup Shortening
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- ½ cups Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 4 cups All-purpose Flour
- ½ teaspoons Salt
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 4 teaspoons Baking Powder
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400ºF and lightly grease cookie sheets. In a large bowl, combine eggs and shortening; beat until fluffy. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly—it will form a ball. Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/4″ thickness. Using your favorite cookie cutters, cut out the cookies and place on prepared pans. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Place on a rack to cool completely. Decorate with your favorite icing or frosting, and whatever candies or sprinkles make you happy. Make approximately 4 dozen.
