Put a smile on Santa’s face… With the perfect Snickerdoodle recipe…
Combine the coating ingredients and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl cream together shortening and sugar. Then add 2 eggs and vanilla and mix to combine. Set aside.
In a separate bowl combine flour, soda, salt and cream of tarter. Now add dry to the wet ingredients one cup at a time and mix to combine.
Shape dough into 1″ balls roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture. Evenly space 12 balls on a cookie sheet (do not press flat). Bake at 400 degrees F for 8 minutes.
