Description

So easy. Seriously.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups Peeled And Diced Fresh Apples
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 dash Freshly Grated Nutmeg
  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar, Lightly Packed
  • ½ sticks Butter, Rough Cut Into Pieces
  • ½ teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract

Preparation

In a slow cooker, add all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Cover and cook on high until apples are tender, or about three hours.

Note: The salted-cinnamon-vanilla-caramel sauce that coats the apples will thicken slightly upon cooling. Cool uncovered for a thicker sauce.

Exactly what I was hoping to find when I searched on this site (I couldn’t find anything even close to it online).

Very good – the house smelled divine while this cooked, and it tasted fabulous. Great recipe when you’re in the mood for pie, but you don’t want to mess around making the crust.

Wonderful! I added 1/2 cup Raisins and actually cooked on LOW for 3 hrs, then on WARM for 3 more hours, then let it sit unplugged for the rest of the night in my crockpot’s insulated cover.

RAVE reviews from everyone – thanks for the recipe! :)
