Description

These cookies are chock full of chocolate, peanut butter, and peanuts, then we sprinkle ‘em with salt to take them to a whole new level!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter, Softened
  • ¾ cups Peanut Butter
  • ⅔ cups Brown Sugar
  • ⅓ cups White Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1-¼ cup All-purpose Four
  • ½ cups Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cups Peanuts
  • Coarse Salt, For Sprinkling On Top

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Beat together the butter, peanut butter, and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time until completely incorporated. Mix in the vanilla extract. Scrape the bowl to be sure everything is mixed in there.

In a small bowl combine all of the dry ingredients. Slowly add to the wet ingredients and mix until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and peanuts.

Drop by spoonfuls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake for 12 minutes and cool on the baking sheet.

These were one of three different cookie types I made today to hand out to students as they leave the high school across from my house tomorrow. They didn’t flatten out at all, but I’m hoping the kids will still love them.

Moist, fudgy, delicious! Thanks for the new recipe, my husband can’t stop eating them and he’s not normally a cookie person.

These are a wonderfully fudgy cookie with just the right amounts of both peanut butter and chocolate. I would suggest toasting the nuts in the oven for a few minutes as the dough is already slightly oily from the peanut butter. Toasting the nuts will dry them enought that they won’t add additional oil to the texture of the dough. Overall these are a decadent treat.
