Description

A fun twist on krispie treats!

Ingredients

  • 1 box (Large 18 Oz. Size) Special K
  • 2 cups Slivered Almonds
  • ¾ cups Real Butter
  • ½ cups White Sugar
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 bag (10 Oz. Size) Marshmallows
  • FOR HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS:
  • Orange, White, And Chocolate Candy Melts
  • Halloween Sprinkles

Preparation

1. In a large bowl, combine Special K and slivered almonds.
2. On a stove top in a large sauce pan, melt the butter.
3. Once the butter is melted, add the white sugar and the brown sugar.
4. Then add the vanilla. Mixture will bubble violently; this is totally normal.
5. Once the sugars have melted, add the marshmallows.
6. When everything is melted, immediately pour over the Special K and almonds.
7. Mix thoroughly.
8. Once thoroughly mixed, pour into a 9 x 10 pan and press down until even. If you want thinner treats, pour into a bar pan and press down until even.

Note: I used a bar pan so that I could cut our fun Halloween shapes. After I cut out the shapes, I used orange, white, and chocolate candy melts to dip the shapes into. While the chocolate was still wet, I decorated them with different Halloween sprinkles. So much fun and festive!
