Description

Creamy, dreamy, and delightful … with a hint of orange.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces, weight Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Grand Marnier, More To Taste
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 1 cup Very Hot Strong Coffee
  • Fresh Whipped Cream, For Serving
  • Thinly Sliced Orange Peel, For Garnish

Preparation

Place the chocolate chips into a blender. Crack in the eggs, then add Grand Marnier and salt. Blend for a few seconds, or until combined.

Pour the coffee in a thin stream through the blender lid until it’s all added. Blend another few seconds, or until smooth.

Pour mixture into small cups or jars, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until chilled and set.

Top with plenty of sweetened whipped cream, then garnish with sliced orange peel.

This dessert was SO easy and elegant. I halved the recipe but we ended up eating all of them anyway. Absolutely a ten rating!

A good dessert for how little effort it took.

I give these 3 mitts cuz I love chocolate and I love sweet treats but even I have my limits. Very, very, very, rich and sweet. It’s the kind of dessert that you can take one big bite, MAYBE two, and call the dentist.

I let these set for 24 hours and they never did firm up. They were still too runny to really eat.

Since hubby *loves* Grand Marnier, this recipe was just in time for a Valentine’s Day surprise dessert. The pots de creme were a big hit! I’ll just add more Grand Marnier next time since I could hardly taste it in the finished dessert.
Thank you for a fabulous (and fabulously easy) recipe!!!
