Description

A great treat to package up and deliver to neighbors and friends during the holiday season!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE WHITE CHOCOLATE MUDDY BUDDIES:
  • 5 cups Rice Chex Cereal
  • 1 cup Powdered (Confectioners) Sugar
  • 12 ounces, weight Vanilla Flavored Almond Bark Or White Melting Chocolate
  • ½ cups Crushed Candy Canes
  • FOR THE DARK CHOCOLATE MUDDY BUDDIES:
  • 5 cups Rice Chex Cereal
  • ½ cups Powdered (Confectioners) Sugar
  • ½ cups Cocoa Powder
  • 12 ounces, weight Chocolate Flavored Almond Bark Or Melting Chocolate
  • ½ cups Crushed Candy Canes

Preparation

For the white chocolate Muddy Buddies:

Into a large bowl, pour the cereal. Set aside. In a large zipped top bag add the powdered sugar and set aside.

Melt the vanilla flavored almond bark according to the package directions. Once it’s melted, pour it over the cereal and gently stir until cereal is covered. Add the crushed candy canes and stir until evenly distributed.

Immediately pour the cereal mixture into the prepared zipped top bag. Seal the bag then gently shake and turn the bag until the cereal is all coated. Remove the mixture from the bag and discard leftover powder.

For the dark chocolate Muddy Buddies:

Into a large bowl, add the cereal. Set aside. In a large zipped top bag add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder.

Melt the chocolate flavored almond bark according to package instructions.

You can mix the two flavors together or serve them side by side.

Note: I got 1 cup of crushed candy canes from one 6 ounce package. I used a food processor to crush the candy canes.
